The light filled atmospheres of modern Mexican architecture have influenced my work since first visiting Mexico City in 2004. My paintings have been a way to acknowledge these environments that offer serenity, as well as, a common link between different cultural landscapes. After painting architectural walls for a few years now, I have had to stop and ask myself why this subject has consumed me. There are no definite answers right now, but I do know that I want to explore this physical and mental architecture I experience to figure out what is next.
