My latest series of woven tapestries explore trends in data visualization. I’m specifically interested in organizational techniques used in the context of digital media. Simple colors and geometries are used to express a wide array of information, from scientific to social. Sometimes these subject matters overlap in their presentation. I’ve found that the gridbased formula of weaving combined with the historical function of tapestry makes it an appropriate medium to interpret these ideas. My work is heavily influenced popculture, the internet, nostalgia, color, and consumerism.
