Annie McLaughlin is a multidisciplinary artist from Long Beach, California. She currently lives and works in Portland, Oregon, where her primary interests lie in painting, textiles, and handcrafted objects. Although the physicality of her work varies greatly in form and function, it is always driven by jovial texture, pattern and color. Drawing attention to the relation of interior and exterior space, her work speaks to personal environment and the landscape. Since 2012 she has been working with WildCraft Studio School, and in 2013 she was given the opportunity to apprentice with artists from the Columbia Fiber Arts Guild. Her work has recently been exhibited at Nationale Gallery, the Museum of Contemporary Craft, and Pacific Northwest College of Art's BFA Gallery.
